Our 2026 beneficiary is Krempels Brain Injury Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people living with acquired brain injury.

Who We Serve: Krempels is committed to its members, adults living with brain injury. Innovative programming is geared toward the unique and varied needs of brain injury survivors. Our community is characterized by a deep and abiding respect for each individual, and the goal of helping each person achieve their maximum potential and satisfaction with life.

At Krempels, you can expect to find a warm and supportive community of members who understand your experience. Devoted staff, interns, and volunteers will help you along your journey. Krempels will provide you with a safe and caring environment while offering opportunities to work on your personal goals, find resources and valuable information, and create an invaluable connection with other survivors of brain injury.

Who knows better what it’s like living with a brain injury than someone already living with a brain injury? Our community offers many opportunities for members to support and advocate for one another, as well as share strategies to help you thrive post-injury.

Our Vision: Brain injury survivors are included, empowered, and inspired to participate in their communities.

Our model: The Krempels Brain Injury Center model is uniquely designed for the long-term, post-injury needs of acquired brain injury survivors. We provide ongoing therapeutic programming, designed by clinically-licensed staff who understand the unique needs of acquired brain injury survivors.

Krempels is more than a day program. Our classes and groups are offered within a vibrant community setting, available both in-person and online, with ample opportunity for peer support and building social connections. Members dictate the frequency and pace of their participation, and have the ability to choose groups based on their own goals.
