• Is there a water station competition?
Different local non-profit groups will be at each water station, and they will all work hard to have the best water station for you. You can cast your vote for the best water station after you cross the finish line. The winning group will earn $500 for their organization.

• Will there port-a-potties on the course?
There will be port-a-potties at the gas station at the corner of Sagamore Ave and Wentworth Road, which racers will pass a little before mile #2 and again before mile #8.

• What kind of weather should I expect?
Mid-November temperatures in coastal New Hampshire are typically in the 40s. However, the weather can be quite variable, so watch the local forecasts, and be prepared for changes.

• Will the race be run, even if the weather isn’t nice?
We will only cancel the race if local authorities decide that the weather is so bad that it would be unsafe to run it. That is a very unlikely event. If it is necessary to cancel the race, a notice to that effect will be posted on the race web site, and sent by e-mail to all entrants for whom we have a working e-mail address.

• Does this race use ChampionChip timing?
Yes, ChampionChips will be issued to each entrant. There will be start and finish timing mats so all runners can get accurate “net” times. There will be a finish mat, but no start mat for the walkers. Please make sure you return your chip at the end of the race. Those who do not turn in their chip will incur a $35 charge.

• Will there be finisher’s medals?
Yes, every racer who crosses the finish line will get a custom Seacoast Half Marathon medal
when they turn in their timing chip.
