• Where can I register for the race, and how much will it cost?
You can register on-line at seacoasthalfmarathon.com. You can also download an entry form from the web site and mail it in with your check. Registration forms are available at Runner’s Alley, 108 Congress St, Portsmouth, NH. Registration is $45 until October 31. From Oct. 31 until Nov. 8, it will be $55.

• When will registration close?
On-line registration will close at 5:00PM (EST) on November 8, or when 1,200 people have registered. In each year the race has been run, registration has closed early: In 2007, the race sold out in the first week in September. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked on or before August 15. This deadline will be moved up if it appears the race will sell out prior to August 15. THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY, even if the race has not sold out. Please check the web site for updates on how many people have registered at any point in time, and to gauge how close the race is to closing.

• Where will my entry fee go?
The beneficiary for this year’s race is Cross Roads House, and all of the proceeds from the race, after expenses, will go to CRH. Cross Roads House is “the largest emergency and transitional shelter in New Hampshire, serving eastern New Hampshire and southern Maine.”Last year, the race donated $45,000 to another local non-profit group, New Heights. All of the race organizers are un-paid volunteers, so more revenue goes to our beneficiary.
